Who can you contact?
The site is published by the association QuietBee — Atelier des microcontrôleurs et objets connectés, 2 allée de Jéricho, 69250 Fleurieu-sur-Saône, France. For questions concerning your data, write to sergebenoitbuathier@gmail.com. Serge Buathier is the publication director.
Reading articles
Tutorials and presentation pages can be accessed without registration. They contain no forms and add no advertising cookies or audience tracking tools. Images and stylesheets are loaded from the site.
Server logs
The site is hosted on an OVHcloud VPS. The server keeps technical logs to monitor its operation, investigate errors and protect access. They may contain your IP address, the date, requested page, request result and browser information.
The current configuration schedules daily Nginx log rotation and retains 14 archives, approximately two weeks under normal operation. Requests to the Measurements area are not recorded in the Nginx access log; technical errors may still be recorded.
Measurements page
The public demonstration can be viewed without an account. The displayed temperatures and humidity values are simulated and are not data collected about visitors.
Logging into the private area uses a technical cookie named __Host-qb_measures. It maintains the session for a maximum of eight hours and is deleted on logout. It is sent only over HTTPS and cannot be accessed by page scripts. The server also keeps IP address hashes and temporary counters to limit abusive attempts; these entries are automatically deleted after expiry.
Contacting us by email
The contact link opens your email software. If you write to us, your address, message and any attachments are received in the contact Gmail inbox so we can reply. They are not used to subscribe you to a newsletter. Correspondence stays in that inbox until deleted; the site currently configures no automatic deletion. You can request deletion at the contact address.
Avoid sending passwords, access keys or other sensitive information in messages and screenshots.
Links to other services
Links to iot.quiet-bee.fr lead to a separate area for guides and orders. Buyer accounts and payments are handled there separately. Links to manufacturers or other sites do not submit a form from quiet-bee.fr; after opening a link, the visited site's rules apply.
Your requests
You can contact us to find out what data concerns you, request correction or erasure, and exercise other rights applicable to your situation. Specify your request without sending identity documents unprompted. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
